The Botanist Clutch - Wild Saffron
This summer I read a book about a guy who had 10,000 chances to live the perfect life. Each time he messed up, he came back as something else - a noble warrior, if he got things nearly right; a mosquito if he really messed things up. He was considered the oldest soul in the universe because he'd used up 9,995 of his lives.
It made me wonder which life I'm on. And made me thing I must've gone through a few, considering my varied interests; my "but alsos". When I crafted this clutch (from scratch), I was a 19th century botanist. Studying the bends and folds of wildflowers and capturing them as a silhouette framed in silver.
Vegetable-tanned Portfino leather with carefully smoothed and burnished edges.
Hand-stitched with waxed linen.
Handcrafted Sterling silver botanical plaque of carthamus tinctorius.
Brass bolts and nuts.
Clutch dimensions: 11.5" wide by 5.5 " tall.
Ships with insurance within the US.
